The ASTRAIA Foundation supports projects designed to empower girls and women around the world. It is particularly active in countries where girls and women still do not have adequate or equal access to education and health and/or are treated unjustly in their society.
The Foundation supports three key issues:
- Promotion of fundamental rights for girls and women (education, health and protection)
- Development and support of women’s leadership ability within their communities
- Development and maintenance of a global female leaders network for mutual support
